plantar fasciitis

I have been suffering from pf for about 10 months now and have held out hope that it will go away within the year...but after reading the message board, my hope is diminishing rapidly (I have had to leave my job due to this condition)
what's the average healing time? does anybody know?...Ibuprofen cream instead of pills because of the stomach irritation high doses of pills can cause. This is the only place in the U.S. I've found that sells it.
