Well, I am not saying I don't agree with cutting out bread and pasta - no problem there - but I am a bit concerned about his physiological explaination. To create energy, your body starts with the same basic building block. Whether you start with fat, protein, or carbohydrates your body breaks it down to the same 6 carbon molecule before it starts converting it to fuel. Then when your body burns this, there are two pathways it can follow. If there is plenty of O2 then it follows a longer pathway and burns down completely producing water and co2 as a by product. If there is a limiting amount of o2 then the byproduct is lactic acid. Whether the initial food is a carbohydrate, protein, or fat should have NOTHING to do with this!! I don't know. Sounds kind of wierd to me. Also, I wouldn't say that carbohydrates are more likely to be stored as fat that proteins. The slowing of metablism I could buy, having to due with insulin levels etc.

Ibuprofen cream instead of pills because of the stomach irritation high doses of pills can cause. This is the only place in the U.S. I've found that sells it.
