"Knock-knees"

In my case they call it a "tibial tortion". It is more pronounced on my right side than my left. If I stand with the top part of my leg and knee pointing straight ahead - my right foot turns out at a 45 degree angle. If I line my foot up straight - my knee turns in and points at my left leg...so basically I walk like a duck in order to compensate. What this also means (I have learned the HARD way)...is that I CANNOT do all the things that other people do. I found out that the stairmaster, as well as any machine that requires you to line up your feet straight is NOT FOR ME. (Probably not for you either). Things like squats and lunges have also caused a lot of problems - but it took me forever to figure out that just because other people can do something, it doesn't mean I can do it too. I'm simply not made the same as every one else.

Talk to a good sports med doctor and/or physiotherapist. They should be able to help you figure out what you can and cannot do given the structure you were born with. Pay VERY close attention to your body and if something causes discomfort or pain, stop doing it and discuss with your specialist before you go back at it. I could have saved myself a lot of grief had I actually listened to the advice I'm now dishing out!!!

(IANAD (I Am Not A Doctor) but to the best of my knowledge this is a condition that you're born with or it develops as you grow. I do not know of any "cure")

Ibuprofen cream instead of pills because of the stomach irritation high doses of pills can cause. This is the only place in the U.S. I've found that sells it.
